The 2027 Ram 1500 is now open for orders, and this update goes well beyond a few new colors and package changes. Ram expanded the engine lineup, added more V8 choices and introduced several performance trucks that take the Ram 1500 in a completely new direction.
The regular lineup still runs from the Tradesman work truck through the Tungsten luxury trim. The 5.7L HEMI is available across more of the lineup, the 3.0L Hurricane engines continue in standard-output and high-output versions and the new performance models add 6.4L and supercharged 6.2L HEMI power.
One detail needs some clarification because the rumor mill has been working overtime. The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is confirmed with a 5.7L HEMI without the eTorque mild-hybrid system. Despite reports that the non-eTorque HEMI may spread to other trims, the Rumble Bee is the only 2027 Ram 1500 currently confirmed with that setup.
Ram also made several practical changes for 2027. Surround View Camera availability has expanded, passive entry is available on more Big Horn configurations, rain-sensing windshield wipers are now standard on Laramie and several new or returning exterior colors join the lineup.

The 5.7L HEMI remains the engine most traditional Ram buyers will ask about first. It is available on Tradesman, Express, Big Horn, Laramie, Warlock and Rebel. The 3.0L Hurricane Standard Output is available on Tradesman, Express, Big Horn, Warlock and Rebel, while the 540-horsepower High Output version is used in Limited, Longhorn, Tungsten and RHO.

The important part is that engine availability still depends heavily on trim. You cannot simply pick any engine and add it to any Ram 1500. Buyers choosing between a HEMI and a Hurricane will need to start with the trims that actually offer both, then work through equipment, cab and drivetrain choices from there.
What colors, packages and features are new for the 2027 Ram 1500?
The 2027 Ram 1500 gets several updates that will matter more to most buyers than another line on a spec sheet. Ram expanded camera availability, added convenience features to more trims and shuffled the exterior color lineup.
New and returning exterior colors
Goldilocks is the new color getting the most attention. It will be available on select Black Express, Night Edition, Rebel, Warlock, RHO and TRX configurations, although Ram lists it as a late-availability color.
Flame Red returns for 2027, Hydro Blue expands to additional configurations and Tank continues on the off-road lineup and Night Edition. The wider color range also includes Bright White, Diamond Black, Silver Zynith, Granite Crystal, Forged Blue, Molten Red and Serrano Green, although availability depends on the trim.
The performance models get a few colors of their own. Spitfire Orange and Ceramic Grey appear in the expanded lineup, while the Rumble Bee gets its own Rumble Bee Yellow.
More camera and convenience features

Ram is also expanding the black Symbol of Protest HEMI badge. It is standard on HEMI-equipped Tradesman, Black Express, Warlock and Rebel models. HEMI-powered Big Horn, Laramie and Limited trucks receive the black badge with the Night Edition package. A bright version remains available for buyers who prefer the traditional look.
The Black Express Edition is also expected to make up a much larger share of Express production for 2027. That should make it easier to find than some previous appearance packages, although actual availability will still depend on production and dealer allocation.
When can you order a 2027 Ram 1500?
Orders are now open for the 2027 Ram 1500. That means River Front Ram Truck Center can begin checking available configurations and placing eligible factory orders, but it does not mean every trim, engine, color and package is available at the same time.
Ram has already marked several items for late availability, including Goldilocks exterior paint and the RHO Popular Equipment Group with the 14.5-inch Uconnect touchscreen and 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system. Some color and equipment combinations will also have limited availability.
The new performance lineup will require a little more patience. The TRX SRT, Rumble Bee models and their new HEMI engine combinations are part of the 2027 lineup, but the source material does not provide firm production or dealership arrival dates. Until Ram releases those schedules, any exact delivery date floating around online belongs in the rumor pile.
Factory ordering also depends on more than whether an option appears in a brochure. Express and Black Express

This will probably be one of the easiest trims to understand on the lot. It looks better than a basic work truck without forcing the buyer into a long list of luxury equipment.
Big Horn / Lone Star
Big Horn remains the middle of the lineup and the place where many buyers will start. It adds aluminum wheels, chrome exterior trim, cloth bucket seats, carpeted flooring and access to a much wider range of packages and options.
For 2027, passive entry becomes available with the Big Horn Level 2 Equipment Group on Crew Cab models. Buyers can also move toward a sport appearance, Night Edition or BackCountry configuration without leaving the Big Horn trim.
Warlock and BackCountry
The Warlock is the lower-cost off-road choice. It comes as a Crew Cab 4x4 with 33-inch all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, tow hooks, a one-inch raised ride height and an electronic locking rear axle.
BackCountry builds on Big Horn instead of Tradesman. It adds a one-inch lift, off-road tires, skid plates, tow hooks, an electronic locking rear axle and distinctive two-tone exterior treatment while keeping access to Big Horn Level 1 or Level 2 equipment.
Laramie
Laramie is where the Ram 1500 starts feeling like a premium truck. It includes leather seating, heated and ventilated front seats, heated rear seats, a heated steering wheel, a 12-inch Uconnect navigation system and additional interior lighting and convenience features.
Rain-sensing windshield wipers are now standard. The available Laramie Preferred Package adds body-color bumpers and grille, power-folding mirrors, a panoramic sunroof, power running boards, tow hooks and trailer brake control.
Rebel and Rebel X
Rebel remains the main off-road trim for buyers who want more capability and more comfort than the Warlock. It includes off-road suspension, 33-inch tires, skid plates, tow hooks, an electronic locking rear axle and available four-corner air suspension.

The difference between them comes down mostly to design. Limited has a modern luxury look, while Longhorn uses more traditional Western-inspired materials and trim.
Tungsten
Tungsten remains the top luxury Ram 1500. It includes 24-way heated, ventilated and massaging front seats, a suede headliner, a 14.5-inch Uconnect screen, passenger display, head-up display, digital rearview mirror and a 23-speaker Klipsch Reference Premiere audio system.
This is the truck for someone who wants a full-size pickup but has little interest in giving up the comfort and technology found in a high-end luxury vehicle.
